 Aspen Valley Medical Foundation The Aspen Valley Medical Foundation (AVMF), celebrating its 35th Anniversary in 2008, is an independent, charitable 501-c-3 non-profit foundation, dedicated to ensuring the health and wellbeing of all people in the Valley, regardless of economic, social or cultural backgrounds. AVMF provides philanthropic leadership and financial resources to fulfill that important mission. AVMF is the official conduit for charitable giving to Aspen Valley Hospital and has granted millions of dollars over the years to the hospital for new innovative patient care programs and for state-of-the-art technology, such as a 64 slice CT Scanner, digitized mammography, x-ray machines and bone density equipment. Most recently, a new 1.5 MRI was acquired thanks in part to the contributions of the foundation. AVMF extends itself beyond AVH to meet other important community health needs, through grants to local health and human services, community wide conferences and convocations, direct dental, prescription and medical assistance, scholarships for health care professionals, information and referral services, case management for the chronically difficult to serve, and training for young people interested in philanthropy. The AVMF Presidents Club is an annual giving program for donors giving a minimum of $2500 per year, proceeds of which support primarily the Aspen Valley Hospital.
