AVH Master Plan - Progress Report The first phase of the Master Facilities Plan -- which was approved several years ago by the County -- is now complete and includes an expansion and renovation of the Aspen Birth Center. It features large private labor, delivery, recovery, and post-partum rooms; nursery with isolation area; family lounge; and classroom.The remaining three phases of the Master Facilities Plan have received conceptual approval from the Aspen Valley Hospital Board of Directors, the City of Aspen Planning and Zoning (P & Z) Commission, and the Aspen City Council (May 2009). Further planning for the second phase of the expansion/renovation is now underway. Once those plans are expanded upon and refined, final approval for Phase II will be sought from the P & Z Commission and the Aspen City Council. |
