Diagnostic Imaging Aspen Valley Hospital's Diagnostic Imaging Department extends far beyond its non-urban setting. With a cutting-edge digital computer networking system, AVH is able to access the expertise of 40 off-site radiology specialists in Denver. These physicians, along with Dr. Dave Hollander, are members of Radiology Imaging Associates, an alliance of radiologists in Colorado. The digital imaging equipment allows AVH to send an image to a specialist best suited to read the scan and make a diagnosis in a matter of minutes.Diagnostic Imaging at AVH Diagnostic Imaging includes x-rays, CT scans (computed tomography with a Siemens 64-slice scanner), MRI scans (magnetic resonance imaging), digital mammography, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, non-surgical biopsies, bone densitometry, and nuclear medicine.
