Instructions for sending encrypted email messages:

For now, only manual encryption is in place. It is triggered by putting the word "ENCRYPT" in all upper-case letters at the beginning of your message's Subject line.

These instructions will change when automatic encryption has been activated.


Instructions for accessing encrypted email messages:

1. You have received an automated email message like the one below, indicating that someone has sent you an encrypted email message. Open the attached file, "securedoc.html".
   
   



2. You will see a popup window like the one below. Click the Open button. (Make sure you have popup blockers turned off or this process will not work.)
   
   



3. A window like the one below will open. Click the Register button.
   
   



4. Complete the form and then click the Register button.
   
   



5. You will receive an email message requesting that you activate your new account. Click the "Click here to activate this account" link.
   
   



6. A window will open requesting that you return to the Registered Envelope window and enter your password to retrieve the original message.
