Meet Our Panelists
Dr. Michelle Miscione, PhD, LCSW, Behavioral Health Specialist at Aspen Valley Hospital Primary Care
Michelle has been working in the field of Social Work since 2000. The first half of her career was spent in New York City counseling cancer patients and families while conducting her doctoral research. Since moving to the valley in 2013 Dr. Miscione has worked for Hope Center, Aspen Valley Hospital and currently is based at Aspen Valley Hospital’s Primary Care Practice. Since COVID began she has counseled many patients and families confronting the challenges of the pandemic; she’s honored to join the Failure to Launch? panel and hopes to offer some insight and feedback about the impact of COVID on our community’s mental health.
Chelsie Brehm, Human Resources Coordinator and Employee Wellness Coach at Aspen Valley Hospital
Chelsie began working at Aspen Valley Hospital just as the pandemic was ramping up, and quickly began incorporating much of her background in mindfulness, meditation, and yoga to support employees during the uncertain and stressful times with virtual yoga and meditation sessions. Chelsie previously had worked for 14 years as a massage therapist and has spent most of that time studying and teaching yoga. She also reminds and educates employees of the mental health benefits that available at Aspen Valley Hospital.
Andy Godfrey, Trauma Survivor and Aspen Strong Board Member
Andy arrived in the Roaring Fork Valley under very unusual circumstances, surviving a plane crash in 1974, he strives to make every day count by helping others in any capacity that he can.
Andy is a husband, father, wealth advisor, and coach who has lived in the Aspen area for the past 45 years. His documentary, co-produced with his brother Mark, called “3 Days 2 Nights” chronicles their experience and serves as a guidepost for people trying to move on from traumatic events.
Karin Bannerot, RN, Addictions Counselor and Aspen Strong Board Member
Karin is an addictions counselor in private practice with Counseling Connections, LLC. She is also a nurse with 36 years of experience currently working with Aspen Ski Company and with Valley Settlement as a child care health consultant.
Karin has lived in the Roaring Fork Valley for 29 years, and for fun and relaxation, Karin loves teaching yoga and traveling.
