BIO

Dr. Heather Murphy is Aspen Valley Hospital’s full-time Otolaryngologist and Head and Neck Surgeon. Since joining the AVH staff in 2017, she has played an integral role in establishing the Otolaryngology department, building on more than 20 years of experience. Dr. Murphy is an expert in ear, nose and throat care who enjoys treating patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Some of her areas of focus include image-guided sinus surgery, nerve integrity-monitored thyroid surgery, pediatric ENT and voice disorders. Dr. Murphy was a pre-medicine major at Augstana College in Rock Island, Illinois. She earned her medical degree from the University of Iowa and completed her residency at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Murphy is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. She enjoys Nordic skiing and Alpine ski touring in the winter and hiking in the backcountry in the summer. Year-round she enjoys spending time with her rescue dogs.
