BIO

Dr. Joshua Seymour is the Medical Director of the After-Hours Medical Care clinic in Basalt as well as a volunteer firefighter for Roaring Fork Fire Rescue. He earned his medical degree at the University College Dublin in Ireland and completed his residency at the University of California, San Francisco, Fresno campus. He spent nearly a decade working in large, urban urgent care facilities in Southern California. In 2016, Dr. Seymour was hired as Medical Director of After-Hours Medical Care in Basalt and charged with overseeing its growth and development. As a physician in an urgent care setting, he treats just about every type of patient with every type of ailment: from infants to centenarians, and from serious sports and work injuries to the common cold. Dr. Seymour has a long relationship with Colorado and the Roaring Fork Valley. His parents have had a home in the valley for decades, and he attended the University of Colorado as an undergraduate. Dr. Seymour loves that he can go on an epic mountain bike downhill or hike Highlands Bowl with friends and family in the morning and see patients in the afternoon — a work-life balance that he and his family have not experienced elsewhere.
