Dr. Margarita Sevilla joined the staff at Aspen Valley Hospital in 2022. Dr. Sevilla is board certified in both family and sports medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. A native of Ecuador, Dr. Sevilla earned her medical degree from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in 2000. She completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2006 and completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Minnesota the following year. As a triathlete and former mountain climber, Dr. Sevilla’s focus on sports medicine aligns with her personal interests. She is a member of both the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the Wilderness Medical Society. Prior to joining the Hospital, Dr. Sevilla practiced for four years at UCHealth Highlands Ranch. She is also affiliated with Stanford Health Care in Palo Alto, CA. She was drawn to the Hospital by its reputation, and the opportunity to practice in a place where she can spend her free time trail running, skinning and skiing and hiking with her dogs.
