BIO

Dr. M. Ammar Hussieno is board certified in pulmonary medicine and sleep medicine. He joined SCL Health St. Mary’s in Grand Junction in 2020 after relocating from Casper, Wyoming, where he was part of the Wyoming Health Medical Group for 10 years. At the end of 2020, Aspen Valley Hospital welcomed Dr. Hussieno to provide leading-edge pulmonology services to the community of the greater Aspen area. He holds monthly in-person office visits and telemedicine virtual visits for the ongoing care of his established patients. Dr. Hussieno evaluates and treats most lung disease and sleep breathing disorders, and he is passionate about providing patient-centered care in collaboration with his patients’ primary care providers to deliver the highest quality pulmonary medicine.

Originally from Syria, Dr. Hussieno enjoys discovering the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, Wyoming and beyond with his wife Jill and son Zane. An avid skier, biker and hiker, Dr. Hussieno looks forward to exploring the wilderness of the Roaring Fork Valley.
