Aspen Valley Hospital’s cutting-edge rehabilitation services are designed to help you recover from injury, as well as support long-term health and wellness goals. We offer one-on-one appointments with certified physical, occupational or speech therapists, as well as other rehabilitation specialists, to evaluate and create individualized treatment plans to meet your specific needs. All sessions are conducted by therapists, never assistants or aides, who are trained in evidence-based strategies for populations ranging from pediatrics to adults.
We offer physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy at our convenient Aspen Valley Hospital location. In addition, physical therapy services are provided in Snowmass Village at our Snowmass Clinic and for downvalley services, we offer physical and occupational therapy at our Basalt Therapy Clinic.
All therapy billing is accomplished through Aspen Valley Hospital, even if the service is provided at one of our off-campus locations. Our Network of Care is a Medicare/Medicaid provider and preferred provider for most area healthcare plans.

Aspen has long been a world-class destination for a diverse array of active lifestyles — from adventure seekers to ultra runners and multi-generational families exploring together. Aspen Valley Hospital’s rehabilitation services are tailored to meet the needs of patients who are eager to get back on the trail and into the mountains as soon as possible, in a way that maximizes personal enjoyment and rehabilitation objectives.
We believe in completely individualizing treatment — provided solely by licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists — ensuring your rehabilitation protocol is ideally suited to your physical and lifestyle needs. Additionally, we aim to maximize continuity of care by pairing patients with the same therapist throughout their recovery journey, implementing a progressive, goal-oriented approach to return you to your normal activities as soon as possible. We believe rehabilitation requires excellent rapport between patient, physician and therapist, which is why we work closely with you and your physician to develop a customized program that delivers long-term results.
"Running into one of my therapists at The Sundeck several months after my last session reminded me how dedicated the team at Aspen Valley Hospital are - and how far I had come with their help."

Dry needling involves the insertion of a thin filament needle to stimulate the healing process of soft tissues (muscle “trigger points,” fascia, tendons and ligaments, etc.) resulting in pain relief and restoration of healthy physiology.
Our body weight support treadmill provides patients with the opportunity to return to walking/running before full body weight is allowed or tolerated. Video cameras allow for visual feedback and improved gait pattern.
Therapists are trained to measure and fit specialized compression garments to treat lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency and chronic wounds.

Surviving a heart attack, or any other cardiovascular event, doesn’t end with the trip home from the hospital. Cardiac Rehab, a medically supervised progressive exercise and education program, is available to assist in recovery.
A life-changing pulmonary event or chronic lung condition requires more than a single visit to your specialist. At Aspen Valley Hospital, we provide our patients with long-term pulmonary rehabilitation – a medically supervised progressive exercise and education program.
Direct access is the ability for individuals to see a physical therapist without a physician’s order. This is ideal for those with low back pain, neck pain and minor orthopedic injuries.
