BIO

Tom McCauley, Chief Human Resources Officer at Aspen Valley Hospital, joined the executive team in 2022. As CHRO, he manages a number of programs designed to support Hospital employees, including benefits, housing, health and wellness, vacation and leave, and staff development. He also supports Hospital recruiting, onboarding, employee relations and retention, and inclusion, diversity and equity programming. Tom holds a bachelor of science degree from Gles College of Business at the University of Illinois, and a Society of Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional designation. Tom’s professional experience includes 23 years at Accenture, the world’s largest consulting company, with 11 of those years in human resources. After leaving Accenture, he worked in leadership roles at a number of large healthcare organizations. He hopes to play a role in helping the Hospital take advantage of technological developments and innovations in healthcare system management. Tom’s passion for healthcare lies in the idea that if he and others at the Hospital do their jobs right, people’s lives are changed for the better here in the Roaring Fork Valley. He has spent much of his life working with faith-based initiatives serving his neighbors and those who are less fortunate, and expects that to continue in his new home. Tom and his family are looking forward to settling into the Roaring Fork Valley with its small-town vibe and access to nature in every direction.
