A Compassionate Network of Care

Who We Are

We provide leading-edge medical expertise rooted in exceptional patient experiences.

Aspen Valley Hospital’s culture and approach to patient care are designed to be much more than just a medical center — they comprise an extensive and dedicated network of care focused on the people who call Aspen and the surrounding area home.

We offer a variety of clinics and locations throughout the upper Roaring Fork Valley, in Aspen, Snowmass Village and Basalt. Aspen Valley Hospital’s rich history is one of meeting the changing needs of our community. What began as a hospital in service of the citizens of a pioneering mining town has now grown into a network of care to encompass the needs of the thriving communities throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. We believe healthcare should be compassionate and convenient, which is why many of our providers see patients at multiple locations in specialties that include primary care, rehabilitation services, diagnostic imaging, cardiology and more. Additionally, our telemedicine services allow patients to see their doctors from the ease and comfort of home, or on the go.

More About Us

Aspen Valley Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital governed by a Board of Directors who are elected by registered voters within the hospital district (which includes Pitkin County, excluding Redstone). The Directors are community leaders and physicians dedicated to fulfilling our mission and vision. Each Director serves in a voluntary capacity for a period of four years. The terms are staggered every two years.

Aspen Valley Hospital’s Executive Team is committed to ensuring the sustainable operations of the Hospital, with a dedication to continuous quality improvement and patient satisfaction.

We Deliver Quality Patient Care, One Patient at a Time

Aspen Valley Hospital’s diverse medical staff and skilled medical teams manage care across a multitude of service lines and meet both the routine and complex needs of area residents and visitors from around the globe. We are dedicated to delivering extraordinary healthcare in an environment of excellence, compassion and trust. This is our mission and our passion.

We approach what we do with a constant drive toward improvement, which results in a high-quality experience for our patients. We have been recognized for the kind of care we provide, but the true measure of quality is in the responses of our patients themselves. Of all hospitals in the country, Aspen Valley Hospital is ranked in the top 95th percentile for our inpatient experience, according to HCAHPS scores.

Our History

Aspen Valley Hospital has a rich, colorful history that started during the silver mining days of the 1800’s. From humble beginnings, the Hospital became the backbone of a caring community. Over the years, the people of the Roaring Fork Valley have invested their time, talent and resources to ensure our community has access to high-quality healthcare. Today, Aspen Valley Hospital is one of the most sophisticated rural hospitals in the country.

The sacrifices of many have made the benefits of what we enjoy today possible.
