When you have urgent medical needs and your doctor’s office is closed, our After-Hours Medical Care clinic in Basalt offers a convenient, cost-effective way to receive care without a visit to the emergency room.
Our board-certified physicians are trained to diagnose and treat a wide variety of ailments in patients of all ages. Because accidents don’t make appointments, we are open evenings and weekends, and walk-ins are welcome.
After-Hours Medical Care does not replace your primary care physician and does not offer physical exams or routine medical care. Also, it’s not an emergency facility that treats life-threatening conditions. Our clinic is a walk-in facility that is owned, operated and billed as an outpatient department of Aspen Valley Hospital.
Turn west off of Highway 82 at Basalt Avenue (Park and Ride). Take the first left (Cody Lane) and proceed 0.1 mile. The facility is located on the left side of the road across from the auto body shop.

We provide care for a variety of conditions, including:
and many others.
If you have symptoms including cough, fever and shortness of breath, and you need help managing your symptoms, call After-Hours Medical Care at (970) 544-1250. To ensure the safety of our patients and staff, please call ahead before driving to the clinic. We can speak with you over the phone for further evaluation to determine the best course of action — a referral to Aspen Valley Hospital’s Respiratory Evaluation Center, a telemedicine visit or a referral to higher level of care.
The Pitkin County Community Coronavirus Hotline is available for questions and concerns regarding COVID-19. Please call 970.429.6186.
To enhance patient safety, our After-Hours clinic is now offering telemedicine visits via the Zoom platform, which connects our doctors with patients via their phones or computers for an online—or virtual—face-to-face visit for minor injuries and illnesses. Telemedicine supplements other systems and protocols that have been in effect at the clinic since the onset of COVID-19 to protect both patients and providers from exposure to the virus.
Our dedicated staff includes board-certified emergency and family medicine physicians, registered nurses and X-ray technologists who provide award-winning care when you have an unexpected medical need.
